Shopifree for ChatGPT

Ask your assistant about your store

What it is

Shopifree is a platform to build and run an online store. This connector lets a store owner connect their store to ChatGPT and ask about their business in plain language: how much they sold, which orders still need shipping, what is running out of stock or who their best customers are.

If the owner allows it, the assistant can also act: create and edit products, update stock, change an order status, create categories or set up a discount coupon.

The owner chooses the access level. When connecting, the owner decides whether ChatGPT can only read or can also make changes. ChatGPT asks for confirmation before every change, and it cannot delete the store or touch payments, the domain or the password.

Requirements

A Shopifree store (any plan; your plan limits apply).
Signing in with the store owner's account.
A ChatGPT account that can use connectors.

Setup

In ChatGPT, open Settings and go to Apps & Connectors.
Search for Shopifree in the app directory and select Connect. If it is not listed yet, turn on developer mode in Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced settings, select "Create", name it Shopifree, paste this URL: https://shopifree.app/mcp and choose OAuth as the authentication.

Sign in with your Shopifree email and password (or Google), choose the access level — read only, or read and make changes — and select Permitir (Allow).
You are returned to ChatGPT. In a new conversation, pick Shopifree from the "+" button (or type @Shopifree) and ask.

The consent page is in Spanish. ChatGPT answers in the language you write in.

Store overview	Name, plan, currency, store link and how many products, categories and orders it has.
Sales summary	Total sold, number of orders and average ticket for a period, by day or by status.
Top products	Best-selling products in a period, by units or revenue.
Product search	Price, stock, variants and category; out-of-stock and low-stock products.
Categories	The catalog categories and how many products each one has.
Orders	Orders filtered by date and status, and the details of one order.
Customers	Your customers, how much each one bought and the date of their last purchase.
Coupons	Discount coupons, active or expired, and how many times they were used.

Write tools (only if you allow changes)

Tool	What it does
Create products	With name, price, description, category, stock and photos.
Edit products	Change name, price, description, category or whether it is shown in the store.
Update stock	Set or adjust the stock of a product or a variant.
Create categories	Add a new category to the catalog.
Order status	Mark an order as confirmed, preparing, ready, delivered or canceled.
Mark as paid	Record that an order has been paid (for example, a bank transfer you already received).
Coupons	Create a coupon with its code, discount and validity, or pause and reactivate an existing one.

Write tools are only offered to connections that were granted write access. If a name matches more than one product, the assistant asks which one.

What it does not do: delete products, customers or orders, charge or refund money, or change payments, the domain, the plan or the password.

Permissions and safety

ChatGPT only sees the store of the account that approved the connection. There is no way to request another store's data.
The connection uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE: ChatGPT never receives your Shopifree password.
Two levels: "Solo consultar" (read only) cannot change anything. With write access, ChatGPT shows you what it is about to do and asks for confirmation before every change.
Every change made by an assistant is logged in your store.
Every time an assistant connects, we notify you by email and in the Shopifree app.

Privacy

When you ask a question, Shopifree gives ChatGPT the store data needed to answer it (sales, orders, products, customers, coupons). This may include your customers' data, such as their name or email.
That data becomes part of your conversation with ChatGPT, which is governed by OpenAI's terms and privacy policy.
Shopifree only receives the requests the assistant makes, not the content of your conversation. We store the connection, its date and the date it was last used.
In ChatGPT, identity document numbers (national ID, passport) that appear in free-text notes are masked except for their last 3 digits.

Disconnecting

In Shopifree: Integrations › AI assistants › Disconnect. Access ends immediately.
You can also remove the connector from ChatGPT's settings.
A connection unused for 90 days closes on its own.

Troubleshooting

Problem	What to do
"Esta cuenta no tiene una tienda en Shopifree" (this account has no store)	You signed in with another account. Sign out on that page and sign in with your store account.
ChatGPT answers without using Shopifree	Check that the connector is enabled in the conversation, or reconnect it.
ChatGPT says it cannot make changes	That connection is read only. Disconnect it, reconnect from ChatGPT and choose the level that allows changes.
The period has too many orders	Ask for a shorter range: a month or a week.
